Chiropractor in Farmington Explains Heat Exhaustion Symptoms

Heat exhaustion has a wide range of symptoms; Cool, moist skin with goosebumps, heavy sweating, faintness, dizziness, fatigue, weak rapid pulse, nausea, headache, and/or muscle cramps.

Loose fitting, lightweight clothing helps protect against sun exposure, drink plenty of fluids (like mineral enriched water. Something that will boost your body's electrolytes) never leave anyone in a parked car (we all hear it but it still happens), take it easy during the hottest parts of the day (don't mow your lawn or do anything to intense in the heat of the day, it can wait)

If you do get overheated, increase mineral water, get MORE rest, and get too a cool place. Heat exhaustion symptoms can last 3-4 days...It can even make you grumpy.

These things may seem simple or "common sense," but so, many of us look past them and keep pressing on. Don't ignore what your body is trying to tell you. Much like your phone, your body will overheat, causing damage to your internal organs if left untreated. Think "slow roasted."

No one wants that!

Have fun and stay hydrated.
